After the game, Brown told DallasCowboys.com that his mindset when the ball is in the air is that it belongs to him. The comment matched what Dallas had been seeing throughout training camp: a receiver willing to attack contested situations rather than wait for clean separation.
What Does Camden Brown’s Performance Mean for His Roster Battle?
The rookie significantly strengthened his case in Seattle, but one preseason game does not guarantee a place on the final 53-man roster. NFL.com noted that Dallas already has several established wide receivers, making the competition for the remaining spots especially important.
Brown’s size, ability to win contested catches and red-zone production give him a profile that could help him stand out. His 2025 season at Georgia Southern also shows that the Seattle performance was not his first stretch of high-level production.
The next challenge is consistency. Dallas still has practices and preseason games before final roster decisions, and Brown will need to keep producing while showing he can be trusted in the broader responsibilities required of an NFL receiver.
